The client needed two things to make this front yard usable: extra width on the original 1920’s driveway and a welcoming front path from the sidewalk to the front door. We demo’d the existing path and repurposed that concrete into pavers to widen the driveway. A new front path was poured, lawn removed, and a drip irrigation system installed. Extra soil was bermed to add a naturalistic contour to the formerly flat, boring lawn. Trees to provide privacy and shade were added along with colorful drought tolerant perennials that bring this small front yard to life.
